I remember when I was a kid in the early 60s, a woman named Madlyn Murray O'Hair, a self-proclaimed atheist, decided she couldn't tolerate any more religious expression and went all the way to the Supreme Court to sue the Baltimore School System for mandatory prayer. She won and became known as the "most hated woman in America". I was only six back then and could barely name all my family members much less have an opinion on constitutional rights. Though I do remember thinking "why doesn't she just stay quiet. Nobody is hurting anybody over it." I haven't tracked all our nation's stats since that ruling came down, but it does seem like this great country fell off into a tailspin of sorts for most of the decades that followed. Tick, tock, tick, tock, tick tock. The proverbial pendulum swung mighty far one way and now it has finally swung back again.

Why ten years you couldn't get pro athletes to stand for our anthem, and now we're getting testimonies after every ballgame. Church attendance is up, patriotism is booming, voices of peace once silent are being heard. Finally, finally, there is zero tolerance for hate and evil.

David the Psalmist was right- "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord." In such a short spell, we have been witness to both a Christian Martyr (Charlie Kirk) and a Peacemaker (Donald Trump). There is a tremendous revival going on, and it is happening all over the world. I can see it, I can hear it, and I can feel it on my bones.

All I can say is halleluiah.
