The Big Boys Have Jumped in the Pool!

I have long imagined theological debate to be a rather stuffy affair with participants one and all doing their levelheaded best to put forth his or her experientially defined perspective; basically, trying to WIN the argument of the day. This process has certainly resulted in hundreds if not thousands of decisions which have ended up as stamped doctrine throughout the plethora of denominations.
But here is a recent entry which is truly groundbreaking. The Space Exploration Arm of the United States Government, aka NASA, has mustered all their digital might and essentially seconded the date put forth by the likes of Sir Issac Newton, Colin Humphreys, W.G. Waddington and one of the world's earliest data scientists Dionysius Exiguus. That's right. With unlimited information processing at their proverbial fingertips, I'm assuming they used 'Blue Origin' to match a lunar eclipse to the Biblical "the sun will be turned to darkness" and pinpointed April 3, 30 AD as the actual date that our Lord Jesus was crucified.
To be honest, I've long held tremendous respect for ole Sir Issac, and him doing all of his calculation by simple reading and long hand. Kudos to NASA for having the heart and interest enough to join such a special debate.
In the end though, I'm not willing to pull up camp quite yet as to the other dates in question. I do know there is a full season of celebration over the horizon. From 2030 to 2033, there will be events of joy and thanksgiving by millions of faithful around the world as we contemplate 2000 years of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior.
Amen
